How does ACI get rid of rodents for good?

We manage mice, rats, and squirrels with a process that starts with a detailed inspection for droppings, gnaw marks, and entry points, then combines humane live trapping, snap traps, and tamper-resistant bait stations placed away from kids and pets. The step that makes it stick is exclusion: sealing the gaps rodents use, plus sanitation advice so your property stops attracting them.

At ACI Pest & Lawn Solutions, we recognize that rodent infestations can pose serious health risks and cause significant property damage. Our comprehensive rodent control services are designed to effectively manage and eliminate common rodents such as mice, rats, and squirrels. We focus on humane, targeted methods to protect your home and give you peace of mind.

Our rodent control process begins with a detailed inspection of your property. Our trained technicians will identify signs of rodent activity, including droppings, gnaw marks, and nesting materials. We assess potential entry points and conducive conditions that may allow rodents to enter your home.

Humane and Effective Control Methods

Based on our inspection findings, we implement a combination of effective rodent control methods tailored to your specific needs:

Live Trapping

For clients who prefer a humane approach, we utilize live traps to capture larger rodents without harming them. Once captured, we relocate them safely to a suitable environment away from your property.

Snap Traps

We also employ snap traps as a quick and effective method for controlling rodent populations. These traps are strategically placed in areas of high rodent activity to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Bait Stations

In certain situations, we may use tamper-resistant bait stations that contain rodenticides. These stations are placed in strategic locations to minimize risk to children and pets while effectively targeting rodents.

Exclusion and Prevention

Preventing future rodent infestations is a key aspect of our services. We provide recommendations for sealing entry points and modifying your environment to deter rodents:

Sealing Entry Points

Our technicians will help identify cracks, gaps, and openings that rodents can use to enter your home. There are multiple enclosure options that ACI can offer to keep rodents outside where they belong.

Sanitation and Habitats

We advise on proper sanitation practices and habitat modifications that reduce food sources and nesting sites for rodents, making your property less attractive to them.

Ongoing Maintenance and Monitoring

After implementing control measures, we recommend follow-up visits to monitor the situation and ensure that your property remains rodent-free. Our technicians will assess the effectiveness of the methods used and make any necessary adjustments.

Customer Education

We believe in empowering our clients with knowledge. Our team will explain the control methods used, what to expect during the process, and how to prevent future infestations, ensuring you feel confident in our services.

Choose ACI Pest & Lawn Solutions for effective rodent control that prioritizes safety and humane practices. Fall rodent pressure often shows up alongside the rest of a Hill Country crawling-insect problem — our general pest control program covers the perimeter while this service handles the trapping and exclusion.

Rodent FAQ

Common questions about rodent control in the Hill Country

Do you provide rodent control in the Texas Hill Country?

Yes. ACI Pest & Lawn Solutions provides rodent control throughout the Highland Lakes from our Kingsland and Marble Falls offices: inspection, trapping, and the exclusion work that seals rodents out for good.

What are the signs of a rodent infestation?

Common signs include droppings, chewed materials, nests, or hearing noises at night. If you suspect an infestation, it's best to contact us for a professional inspection.

Why does sealing entry points matter?

Trapping alone never fixes a rodent problem because they return through the same gaps. Sealing the entry points, the exclusion step most DIY attempts skip, is what keeps a Highland Lakes home rodent-free long term.

When do rodents move into Highland Lakes homes?

Pressure peaks as the first cold fronts arrive in fall and early winter, when mice and rats work toward warm walls, attics, and outbuildings. That's the time to have entry points sealed and the perimeter treated.

Is rodent control safe around children and pets?

Bait goes only in tamper-resistant stations, we use a minimal-chemical IPM approach, and our technicians show you where every station and trap sits so you can keep kids and pets clear of them.

What is your service guarantee?

At ACI, we are dedicated to providing high-quality pest control services and ensuring your satisfaction. Please keep in mind that our services will take time to become fully effective. Those pesky bugs have to move across the products and either ingest them or absorb them through their exoskeleton. It will require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results (staying on a program is a must!). For general pest treatments, we recommend allowing a minimum of 14-21 days for optimal effectiveness. Be prepared, you may even notice an increase in pests immediately after service due to the flushing agents that drive them out of hiding and into the product. Pest Control Services: We guarantee our treatments will effectively reduce pest populations. Please keep in mind, if you skip a service, you allow the bugs to work against the program and numbers won't stay properly under control. It takes both customer action and understanding to keep numbers down. If pests return between your scheduled visits, simply contact us and we'll re-treat at no additional charge. Lawn Care Services: We highly recommend getting on the 5x year program that includes pre-emergent to help with seasonal weeds. If you are on the 5x program and you're not satisfied with the health and appearance of your lawn, we will provide an additional treatment free of charge to help achieve your desired results. Specialty Services (e.g., termite treatments, rodent exclusion): We stand behind our work. Ask about the service guarantee for these treatments. One-Time Services: While we cannot offer a guarantee for most one-time services, we will strive to ensure your satisfaction. If you have any concerns, please contact us, and we will address them promptly. Keep in mind that while our techs come equipped with a B&G wand, it's not a magic wand. Dealing with infestations takes time and regular treatments. If you spot three or more live, healthy pests after 14-21 days, just give us a shout. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to provide the best service possible. If you have any questions about our guarantees or services, please don't hesitate to reach out!
