Bees, Wasps and Other Flying Insect Solutions

Does ACI handle bees and wasps?
Yes. Bees are vital pollinators, so when they are not an immediate threat and can be relocated, we point you to a local beekeeper rather than killing them, and only treat bees when they pose a direct hazard. For wasps, we locate the nests hidden in eaves, trees, and shrubs and apply targeted treatments, then follow up to make sure new nests do not form.
At ACI Pest & Lawn Solutions, we understand that bees and wasps can be both beneficial and problematic. While bees play a vital role in pollination, their presence near homes can become a concern. Our comprehensive bee and wasp treatment services focus on targeted, species-appropriate management strategies to keep your property comfortable and secure.
Protecting pollinators first
Our approach to bee management prioritizes safety and environmental responsibility. If the bees are not an immediate threat and relocation is possible, we recommend calling a bee keeper for more information since we do not provide this type of service. Click HERE for a list of bee keepers.
Identify Species: Understanding the type of bee is crucial, as some species are protected. We accurately identify the species to determine the best course of action.
Humane Treatment: We will only resort to killing bees if they pose a direct hazard to humans or pets. Our goal is to protect both your family and these important pollinators.
Exclusion Strategies: We offer guidance on preventive measures to keep bees from nesting near your home, such as sealing entry points and removing potential food sources.
Eliminating aggressive nests
Wasps can be more aggressive than bees, especially when their nests are disturbed. Our wasp control services include:
Nest Identification: We locate wasp nests, which can be hidden in eaves, trees, or shrubs.
Targeted Treatments: Using specialized equipment and products, we implement effective treatments to eliminate wasps while ensuring the safety of your family and pets.
Ongoing Monitoring: After treatment, we provide follow-up inspections to ensure that the wasp population remains under control and that new nests do not form.

Common questions about pest control service
What is your service guarantee?
At ACI, we are dedicated to providing high-quality pest control services and ensuring your satisfaction. Please keep in mind that our services will take time to become fully effective. Those pesky bugs have to move across the products and either ingest them or absorb them through their exoskeleton. It will require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results (staying on a program is a must!). For general pest treatments, we recommend allowing a minimum of 14-21 days for optimal effectiveness. Be prepared, you may even notice an increase in pests immediately after service due to the flushing agents that drive them out of hiding and into the product. Pest Control Services: We guarantee our treatments will effectively reduce pest populations. Please keep in mind, if you skip a service, you allow the bugs to work against the program and numbers won't stay properly under control. It takes both customer action and understanding to keep numbers down. If pests return between your scheduled visits, simply contact us and we'll re-treat at no additional charge. Lawn Care Services: We highly recommend getting on the 5x year program that includes pre-emergent to help with seasonal weeds. If you are on the 5x program and you're not satisfied with the health and appearance of your lawn, we will provide an additional treatment free of charge to help achieve your desired results. Specialty Services (e.g., termite treatments, rodent exclusion): We stand behind our work. Ask about the service guarantee for these treatments. One-Time Services: While we cannot offer a guarantee for most one-time services, we will strive to ensure your satisfaction. If you have any concerns, please contact us, and we will address them promptly. Keep in mind that while our techs come equipped with a B&G wand, it's not a magic wand. Dealing with infestations takes time and regular treatments. If you spot three or more live, healthy pests after 14-21 days, just give us a shout. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to provide the best service possible. If you have any questions about our guarantees or services, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Are your pest control methods safe for children and pets?
We treat with IPM: exterior-first, targeted placement at harborage and entry points rather than broadcast spraying, and environmentally friendly products at the minimum amount that gets results. Your technician gives you specific before-and-after guidelines every visit, including when kids and pets can be back in treated areas.
How often should I have my home treated for pests?
The frequency of treatments depends on various factors, including the type of pest, severity of the infestation, and your location. Generally, we recommend a bi-monthly control service for general pests (this includes scorpions). If you'd like more details or pricing, please give the office a call.
How long will the treatment take?
Treatment duration varies based on the type of service required. Most treatments take between 30mins-1hr and can be upwards of 3 hours depending on the size of the property. Your technician will provide a more accurate estimate during the initial inspection.
Will I need to leave my home during treatment?
In many cases, you can remain in your home. However, certain treatments may require temporary evacuation for safety reasons. Our technician will inform you of any necessary precautions.
